Young Child Semester 4 Recorder Class, for ages 6 - 8 years, starts Tuesday January 13th at 4 p.m. for 15 weeks. more info Semester 4 explores multicultural music from Japan to Hawaii to Africa, just to name a few! Children will learn basic notation concepts on their first wind instrument the recorder while gaining confidence and appreciation for their own musical gifts. Includes CD, folder, song book, homework assignments and recorder. New students will be required to also purchase a glockenspiel and class bag for an additional fee. Family Time! Sundays starting January 18th at Noon for the entire Family for 10 weeks more info This fee is for the entire family up to two children. Additional children in the family must also purchase an additional instrument per extra child for $25.00 so that they aren't left out! Movin & Groovin is a romping, rolling, stretching good time for the whole family. This ten-lesson unit of Family Time will explore lots of different ways to move high and low, fast and slow, zigzag, curvy, and more. Family members will chug around the classroom like trains, clip-clop like horses, and roll over like puppy dogs. They'll hear a story about playing tag together in Can You Catch Me?, and read about a jungle hokey-pokey in Put Your Left Paw In. Show your best groovin moves its time for Movin & Groovin. Experience a program that teaches your child not only music, but social skills, language skills, fine and gross motor skills, READING and MATH skills as well as cognitive reasoning, all while using music as the key to learning.

Degreed in Education (both Early and Elementary) as well as being a professional musician, Ms. Sandie prides herself on teaching all of her students a love of music first, love of an instrument second.

Students of Ms. Sandie have been accepted into University for both Performance and Music Ed., have been accepted to the Educational Center of the Arts in New Haven, have been leads in local plays and musical productions. Many are members of local youth and civic orchestras.

Music and Movement Programs for young children. Weekday, Weekend and Evening program styles. Classes for children from Birth - 7 years. American Sign Language, Note reading and writing. Exposure to music from other cultures and countries.

Also offering summer extended day sessions, private study on fiddle, violin, viola and piano, and group Baroque Ensemble and Piano classes.
